Tributing the level 1-4 monsters for a ritual summon provides additional effects to the ritual monsters such as banishing monsters or backrow during either player's turn. The level 1-4 monsters can be special summoned from the GY by various methods. Vendreads have the unique ability to be ritual summoned from both the hand or graveyard.
General Counter Tips:
Droll & lock bird will shut down plays past its first search, otherwise ghost girl hand traps such as ash and belle will stop the ritual spells in general.
