The Main Deck Purrely monsters purpuse is to search Quick-Spells to XYZ summon with. Purrely Purrely uses Quick-Spell Memories from Hand and Purrelyly Purrelyly uses from GY. Each Memory results in a different XYZ Monster.

Their boss monster is Expurrely Noir Expurrely Noir, which is unaffected by the opponents card effects, as long as it has more than 5 materials under it.

Is more often seen in Genesys than Advanced

General Counter Tips:

Negate the effect of Epurrely Plump Epurrely Plump if possible on their turn to not give them access to more material.

They depend on their GY and their ED so removal can be critical for them.

Almost all of their effect target or need a target.

Using inherent tribute monsters like Lava Golem Lava Golem or any Kaiju monster against Expurrely Noir Expurrely Noir

Since Purrely is a very (Quick)-Spell focused deck, the only way for them to get into a XYZ is by having Purrely Purrely on field. This usually ends their turn while they will try to set some QS like Happy Memory to protect their XYZ until the next turn. If they have the Purrelyyeap trap, they can get into the big Noir but that is only one /maybe two removals.

My Friend Purrely, Purrelyly,

Using it on Purrely Purrely is more risky since the effect to add to hand is not once per turn. If they have another possibilty to summon one via a Memory card that Ash might not stop them.

Since both Purrelyly and Epurrely Plump target the cards in GY, Purrelyly cannot activate the effect to XYZ summon and with taking away a target from Epurrely Plump you could prevent a Expurrely Noir Expurrely Noir.
