Fire King Courtier Ulcanix on turn 1 (hoping they don't have
Fire King High Avatar Kirin).
The optimal targets should be non archetypal monsters like
Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames, this interaction in particular stops the setup.
Jurrac Meteor will always be played on your turn but in the rare occasion it's not you should try to stop it. |

Surely the banish is always a strong counter to Fire King but they'll try to save as many monsters as possible. A nice mind game could be attempting to go BP if they have
Jurrac Astero effect ready in GY: if they don't respect the Evenly you get some free banishes, if they wipe you removed an interaction without playing cards. |

Fire King Avatar Rangbali, the spell negate, but it's really rare. |

Stopping
Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames 3rd effect in any way possible is always a good investment.
Otherwise during SP on
Fire King High Avatar Garunix if the board wipe is problematic.
It's better to save this HT for interactions that happen on your turn so that you don't get disrupted. |

Nibiru works good only for the link plays or when they use a lot of resources.
For links the idea is that with a non FIRE on field they can't do much (if they didn't set up a
Jurrac Meteor nuke), if they reach the 5th summon on
Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames you should punish that.
Making
Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings is usually part of an OTK that requires commitment, if you have the opportunity to stop it before the BP you can breathe for a turn and possibly win. |

Sacred Fire King Garunix.
It's a really good HT that works in many scenarios. |

With any two bodies you can make an easy
Mudragon of the Swamp. Remember that spells like
Fire King Sky Burn don't need the original targets on field for the effect to resolve.
Removing everything as soon as possible is a really good way to limit the interactions and simplifly your turn.
Fire King Sanctuary doens't happen often but it's heavily countered by this.
Respond to
Jurrac Meteor only if they didn't use
Sacred Fire King Garunix yet and you're able to remove every monster they have.
In their turn the advantage is good but it really depends on their hand. |
